059

Since we're an otaku couple with Anett (sort of...), sometimes i get the idea, that it would be cool if we could watch anime together. Sadly, our taste isn't the same at all. Honestly, they're really far apart from  each other, so it's a bit complicated, and she prefers to read manga much more, but her weak point is yaoi, so i thought that it's time to see some animated gayporn.

The opportunity to choose was mine, and i'm the type to judge a book by it's cover, plus i prefer short anime (especially movies and OVAs, the normal length for me is around 12 episodes), so i poked at the short ones. They were the following.

Sensitive Pornograph
Shounen Maid Kuro-kun: Tenshi no Uta
Boku no Pico 1

She told me that these are the most explicit ones, and i won't have the stomach to watch more after these, but i didn't care. But she was right. I mean they didn't have any storylines, they were all about sex (and not ordinary kinks, some of them were really disgusting shotacon o_O). Regardless of it not being my cup of tea, we're currently watching Junjou Romantica. Honestly, i do like anime that have a slow flow to the story, but these ones are just meh... I actually can't believe how girls can enjoy this.

Then, what about my プリン
Definitelly dramas, slice of life, comedy, and also thriller, mistery. psychology, etc
Based on my animelist, you can clearly see that i'm just a novice, but i've seen some pure gems, and also want to watch some promising ones

PLAN TO WATCH

Bartender (バーテンダー)

"Genius bartender, Sasakura Ryuu makes the most incredible cocktails anyone has ever tasted. Seeking his "Glass of God", individuals from all different walks of life visit his bar. With both a compassionate ear and a godly drink, Ryuu helps people with their problems."

Definitelly one that i'll totally love. Nothing serious, just chillin' in the bar and listening to some nice stories. That's my cup of tea. Can't wait to see it, i think i won't be disappointed.

COMPLETED

Aoi Bungaku series / Blue Literature (青い文学シリーズ)

"The series consists of adaptations of six modern classics of Japanese literature: Osamu Dazai’s No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) & Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!), Natsume Soseki’s Kokoro, Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s Hell Screen (Jigoku Hen) & The Spider's Thread (Kumo no Ito), and Ango Sakaguchi's In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom (Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita)."

This one seemed interesting, since the stories contained adaptations of must read classical books. I enjoyed some of them, but it wasn't as good as my expectations were. My fave was Soseki's one, which is a really nice story, about true friendship, double love, and a sad ending of course... I can highly recommend that one, but the first isn't bad either, especially if you like Death Note, since the animation studio is the same as the one which made Death Note, it looks really similiar, and the story is good enough too.

Dareka no ManazashiSomeone's Gaze (だれかのまなざし)

"Short anime film by Makoto Shinkai screened at the Nomura Real Estate Group's "Proud Box Kanshasai" home living exposition, which ran February 10–11, 2013, at the Tokyo International Forum."

I recently saw this, and I have to say, this was one of the most saddest short animes that i've seen so far. First of all, the director was Makoto Shinkai (5 Centimeters Per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, The Garden of Words), which is guarantee for quality ! I don't want write an essay (since my grammar skills are under avarage), all i can say is that you'll regret it if you miss this masterpiece

Higashi no Eden / Eden of the East (東のエデン)

"On November 22, 2010 ten missiles strike Japan. However, this unprecedented terrorist act, later to be known as "Careless Monday," does not result in any apparent victims, and is soon forgotten by almost everyone. Then, 3 months later... Saki Morimi is a young woman currently in the United States of America on her graduation trip. But just when she is in front of the White House, Washington DC, she gets into trouble, and only the unexpected intervention of one of her fellow countrymen saves her. However, this man, who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa, is a complete mystery. He appears to have lost his memory, is stark naked, except for the gun he holds in one hand, and the mobile phone he's holding in the other. A phone that is charged with 8,200,000,000 yen in digital cash."

I already  mentioned this earlier. After finishing it, I'm still a bit unsure. I mean it was enjoyable, definitelly not a one-view anime, but i really hate animes where the endings are left with a questionmark. I haven't seen the 2 OVAs which ties up the loose ends. So i hope after watching them i can understand the whole situation.

Anyway, the art is really nice, the whole anime looks reeeeally similiar to Honey and Clover (the main characters look like Yamada, and Morita), but with a deeper storyline.

Hourou Musuko / Wandering Son (放浪息子)

"The story depicts a young male, Shuuichi Nitori, who wants to be a girl, and his friend Yoshino Takatsuki, a female who wants to be a boy. The series deals with issues such as transsexualism, gender identity, and the beginning of puberty."

Oh, this one is really interesting. Overall, it looks really... nice, minimalistic (like a painting with vibrant, but only few colours) , and also the OST is really catchy, along with lots of piano based tracks. The synopsis perfectly describes what it's all about. Be tolerant and see with your own eyes. It's really lovely piece in my opinion.

Silver Spoon (Gin no Saji / 銀の匙)

"Yugo Hachiken dreams of life separated from his family, so he takes the initiative by enrolling in an agriculture school. He thinks, with his talent in studying, no problems will arise no matter what kind of school he attends. He is proven wrong very quickly. Raised as a city boy, he is forced to uncover the inconvenient truth about agricultural life. Enjoy the story of Hachiken, as he tries to keep up with his new friends, farmers' heirs, who are already accustomed to the harsh world of farming. With no clear goals or understanding of farming life, how will Hachiken survive this new, cruel reality? The story of a sweat, tear, and mud-stained youth begins!"

The second season will come out in this year, 2014 and will be one of my most anticipated animes, i think (or hope so), but i haven't finished the first season yet. I do like the farming theme (i should play Harvest Moon on NDS), so i'm really curious about the continuation.

I've watched the 7th episode, and yeah, it's definitelly an awesome comedy anime
