"Winklepickers, or winkle pickers, are a style of shoe or boot worn from the 1950s onward by male and female British rock and roll fans. The feature that gives both the boot and shoe their name is the very sharp and quite long pointed toe, reminiscent of medieval footwear and approximately the same as the long pointed toes on some women's high-fashion shoes and boots in the late 2000s. The pointed toe was called the winkle picker toe because in England periwinkle snails, or winkles, were a popular seaside snack which is eaten using a pin or other pointed object to extract the soft parts out of the coiled shell carefully, hence the phrase: "to winkle something out", and from that, winklepickers became a humorous name for shoes with a very pointed tip."

My story began in '04~05, when my brother infected me with The Horrors / Neils Children. Since i know them i wanted to own a pair of winklepickers, but they're so freakin' expensive, and it's really hard to find a good one. ┌(ﾟдﾟ)┘

If you're into Japanese culture, you probably know that they have their own winklepickers, but i prefer to call 'em dress shoes. They're similiar, but most of the Japenese ones are very over decorated, just like these:

I always liked the minimalist types, but nowadays i'm not against those omate /major pimp shoes. ༽΄◞ิ౪◟ิ‵༼

First, i decided to buy a simple one, 'cuz i find Joshua's white ones really awesome. Finally i recieved 'em from the customs, so here they are:

I ordered this one with a Shopping Service, because most of the Rakuten stores aren't able to ship to Hungary. So, the prices were the following:

Charge 1 (commision fee, system usage incl): 15,233,- HUF

Charge 2 (domestic delivery charge, oversea shipping incl): 11,699,- HUF

Costumes: 5377,- HUF

Overall: 32,309,- HUF (that's around 14,600 Yen, but you can convert it to your own currency)

Even though it wasn't a cheap deal, i can't complain. It's sad, this industy makes me poor. There are some others gems - as always - that i want very badly (including boots, shirts, CDs, etc)

Preview of NeoScream's first single called SIGNAL. You can listen to it on YouTube. The music's irresistible. Cheap studio songs, catchy riffs, lame vocal = flawlessness. But as always, it's impossible to find in stores. ヾ(。￣□￣)ﾂ

Being a shopaholic is a bad thing (or at least for your pocket - so if you're a rich whore, that's actually pretty cool, but i'm just a bitch, with low payment ―(T_T)→).

In my free time i always stalk various webshops: one of my fave site is Rakuten, wich is one of Japans biggest online shopping site (with more than 45,000,000 items, everything you can imagine). I only prefer buying clothes. （　´∀｀）

Why ？ Simply, everything else is overpriced - but at least, they have some really unique stuff, that is worth checking out. So, lets see my fave stores and experiences about 'em:

ＪＯＺＥジョゼ

They're definitelly one of my fave shops overall ! Their good point is that, they aren't expensive at all, maybe because (as the title said), they served casual stuff, but actually they have some really nice skinny pants, cool cardigans, vests, and others, and i'm still waiting for them to relist my dream (engineer) boots, but it seems, hopeless. （￣ー￣）

JIGGYS SHOP

One of my other fave part on this store~ They distribute my fave clothes brand (SEANA, and Rochelle), so i'm always looking forward to their new boots, cardigans, and skinny pants. They sell really cool accessories as well, but they're way too overpriced, so, that part is just an eyecandy for me. (’-’*)

LUX STYYLE

Oh, Lux Style, my third fave. If i'm looking for boots, this is the best place to see some nice ones ! Engineer boots, casual ones, and winklepicker (host shoes with pointed toes, you know) wherever the eye can see !

I can't say band things 'bout the other category either, love their collection so bad ！ ☆ﾐ(o*･ω･)ﾉ

JOKER by EVERGREEN

They used to be cool, but nowadays, they distribute mainstream outfits (with ridiculous prices). And it seems that they haven't got engineer boots anymore, wich was their best point, i think. ε≡(ノ´＿ゝ｀）ノ

Hoshos

I don't like them at all, but they have nice boots, and accessories, that's all. Every other thing isn't my cup of tea, but if you're interested in trapeze jeans, it's your thing ！ (-ω- )

ＰＲＩＺＭ

Another one for hosts. I prefer their dress shoes / boots only, and their accessories. (´･ω･｀)

Ramble Shoes

A shop for shoes that made me wet, yay ！ I'm addicted to EndeVice collection, and also MM / ONE is a really popular brand that makes nice, dress shoes. ( ´ ▽ ` )

Alter VenomMV

My friend introduced me to this shop, wich is the shop of Shin (ex-member of Glory Abyss) - or at least, he promoted all of their stuff. Luckily 99% of their items are far from my style, wich is actually good news, since their prices are far from my pocket. But i like Shin, and the boots. （＾＾）
